Scottish Solar Hub is a directory of solar panel, battery storage, EV charger and renewable energy installers across Scotland. You can browse installers by service and area, or send one request and we will pass it on to suitable installers who cover your area.

We do not install systems ourselves.

Yes. Browsing the directory and requesting quotes is free, and there is no obligation to go ahead with any installer.

Installers supply their own details, including accreditation numbers, and listings are reviewed before they go live. Always check an installer’s MCS, RECC or HIES and TrustMark status directly with each scheme before you sign anything.

Solar panels generate from daylight, not heat, so they work across Scotland, including the Highlands and islands. How much a system produces depends on roof direction, pitch and shading. An installer survey will give you an estimate for your home.

Home Energy Scotland provides free, impartial advice and information on funding and loans that may be available. Schemes and eligibility change, so check the current position before you decide.

MCS is a certification scheme for small-scale renewable installers and products. An MCS-certified installation is normally needed to get a Smart Export Guarantee tariff for electricity you send back to the grid.

Check accreditations, get more than one quote, and compare what is included: equipment, generation estimate, warranties, timescales and aftercare.

Getting at least two or three quotes lets you compare equipment, warranties and price.

Most installers carry out a survey before giving a final quote. Some start with satellite images of your roof.

Speak to the installer first. If they are a member of a consumer code such as RECC or HIES, the code has a complaints process you can use. Scottish Solar Hub is not a party to your contract.

Companies that install, maintain or advise on solar and related renewable energy systems in Scotland.

Your company details, the services you offer, the areas you cover and any accreditations you hold, such as your MCS number and consumer code membership. A logo and photos of past installations are optional but recommended.

We review every submission before it is published. We will email you when your listing is live, or if we need more information.
